Beautiful Day Here is Washington State

What a Beautiful day we are enjoying here in Washington State!

Yesterday was such an awesome day for us. Our friends Ken and Courtney drove about 4 hours from Oregon to visit with us for just a few hours! We all went out for supper and then came back to the hotel and chatted for sometime before we had to get Sofia to bed. It was such a great time to fellowship with some members of our Christian family. My friend Courtney posted a really great picture of all of us on her blog. I can’t wait until we can visit with them again!

Today has turned out to be a gorgeous day. Clear blue skies. Bright and sunny and crispy cool! I could just stay here!

Malachi should be coming home soon from work. I say “home” and really mean “the hotel”.

Malachi found out today that his last day at work here on Friday will end at 1030am! So we can spend the rest of the day exploring. We plan to drive over to Seattle to see what we can get into. We are so excited about being able to site see our last day here. We will be leaving early Saturday morning. Heading back to Baton Rouge will be bitter sweet. We have truly enjoyed our visit to Washington State.

This trip has really shown me more and more that the Lord will always take care of us. We had a bit of financial scare when we first got here. We had been waiting on the check the company mailed to us to reimburse us for Malachi’s airfare. We really needed that money to help us with this trip. We had it all planned out that a friend of ours would check our mail and when the check arrived he would deposit it. Malachi came home from his first day of training on Monday and told me that they helped the check for him since they knew he would be arriving. So we just went up the street and cashed it! Praise the Lord!

I sometimes forget that the Lord has a plan and He knows the end from the beginning. This trip has been a great mini-vacation. Sofia has enjoyed herself. Every time we walk through the lobby of the hotel she says hi to everyone who passes by. She is such a social butterfly.

Glad you are enjoying it there--it usually isn't quite so nice. My friend who just got back from Seattle said it rained most of the time she was there--she couldn't see the mountains. Her mom and 3 sisters live in Seattle. Hope you continue to have a blessed time and enjoy each moment in His presence.
