Our New Puppy

So, now we are homeowners, and with that comes the duty to fulfill a promise we made to our children.  a year or so ago we had to give our sweet Mr. Winston away because he fell ill and we were unable to care for him.  This broke our daughter's hearts and so, my husband made a promise that when we got a house we would get a new dog. 

Well...

Meet Calvin - our new canine family member!  Of course those who know us may find the name fitting, however, Sofia wanted to initially name him "Calvinist"!  (LOL)  She agreed that shortening it to "Calvin" would be most agreeable.

We rescued this sweet little darling.  He is a mix of Golden Retriever and Chocolate Lab.  He is such a sweet animal.  We got up early this morning to go and meet him at 7am.  He is gentle and cuddly - as you can see.  He just melted in my arms and in Sofia's arms - what a little darling!

He will most certainly be loved and adored in the Sewell home.  He is being held for us until the 19th when we can go and pick him up.  We thought that moving the pup twice would be too stressful for all of us, so the Monday after we move we will come into town and pick him up!

Then the fun begins!
