Not too long ago I shared with you all about the Green Smoothie and how it would be a staple at breakfast time in our house. I l-o-v-e green smoothies! I thought for this morning, I would share the recipe I used to make our tasty health treat. (Thanks to my sweet husband for the new blender from KitchenAid)
Ingredients:
2 Bananas
Frozen Strawberries
3 Hearty Handfuls of Spinach
Several Dried Apricots
Chai seeds – about 2 TBSP
Coconut Milk – about 2 cups
Directions:
Put all the ingredients into blender and…blend! That’s it. Now enjoy your super yummy green smoothie!
This is a great way to start your day. I have been soaking my oats overnight and cooking them up in the morning for me and the girls just to add some bulk to our breakfast. However, with this green smoothie, extra items for breakfast are not necessary.
{I highly recommend soaking your oats for 12-24 hours before cooking them – I’ll blog on that later}
