Geerhardus Johannes Vos [1862 -1949]

Geerhardus Johannes Vos  [1862 -1949]
"The man who thinks he can carry on his business life, or his political life, or his social life, without God is to that extent an irreligious person. The teacher who thinks that his relation to God does not affect his teaching of chemistry, or his interpretation of European history, is to that extent an irreligious person. The consistent Christian will realize that his religion is the ruling principle of all his life, and that there is nothing in life which can be isolated from his relation to God."

I often times am puzzled why more Christians fail to understand this basic concept.  Christians cannot compartmentalize their beliefs on certain subjects as though God is not concerned with it, or that He simply is neutral on some things and not others.  How foolish we are to think that God takes a neutral position on anything!  Lord, search my heart and show me where I've left you out and then show me what Your will is, and help me to conform to it and defend it via Your Word (Sola Scriptura), to the death, regardless of persecution.
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15
"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:" 1 Peter 3:15
Soli Deo Gloria!
