The Lord Always Provides

Today has been a day full of blessings and encouragement. We have decided to officially begin homeschooling Sofia the day after her 4^th birthday. June 1^st will be her very first day of “official” homeschool! She is so excited and bee bopped around here most of the day reminding us that she is homeschooled :)

I ordered a few things today for her curriculum material. Here is a breakdown of what I ordered and from where:

I printed out the Puritan Grammar Primer and Puritan Bible Primer from the Puritan’s Home School Curriculum website. (Free Source)

There is also a great book list at Classical Christian Homeschooling.

I also found great information over at The Center for Reformed and Theology and Apologetics under their “Christian Education” section.

Later in the day Malachi called one of the guys he knows at Best Buy to see what the status of his application was, and his friend told him to come on in and do all the paper work. Malachi is officially hired back at Best Buy; for now. YAY! We are so excited about this and are just in awe at how the Lord works everything out. The phone interview that Malachi had yesterday with a local software company went really well. The lady said she had a few other people to interview and that a decision would be made in a few weeks. So, it is still possible that Malachi will get that job, but in the interim, Best Buy will do.

I also had the pleasure of chatting with a sweet friend, who the Lord used to greatly encourage me in our search for a church home. I am so thankful the Lord has divinely placed people in my life that He uses to teach me and encourage me. It still catches me off guard at times at just how great a resource the internet can be, when used for the glory of God of course.

We also received the June edition of Tabletalk magazine from Ligonier Ministries. The June edition is all about Calvinism. The opening article “We’re One, but We’re Not the Same”, by Burk Parsons, is definitely an encouraging one. He says in regards to “Calvinists, new and old”:

“Calvinists, new and old, and all “Calvinists” before Calvin, have stood with one voice as we have answered age-old questions pertaining to God, man, the gospel, and salvation….we have been united in the essential matters of the faith and have historically worked carefully to apply the ancient maxim: “In the essentials, unity; in nonessentials, liberty; in all things, charity.” (p.2)

We are not anxious or fretting over what will happen, because we know that God will take care of us, and put us right where He wants us. We are content with what we have, and with what we don’t have. We are blessed to have each other and our precious daughters. Most of us all we are blessed to know Christ and Him crucified!
