Recreating the Big Bang???

"Scientists set to test Big Bang theory in a tunnel underneath Geneva." (Good Morning America 10 September 2008)

The headlines are filled with this monumental event of these scientists who are trying to re-create the Big Bang. I thought I would blog on it because the premise of this experiment is flawed in that they are assuming that the "Big Bang" is what created the universe. My husband and I literally laughed when we heard about this experiment this morning on GMA.

This is what Malachi had to say:

"Everyone's talking about that stupid experiment on the news. "Particle accelerator recreates the conditions of the big bang". I'm afraid there weren't any massive particle accelerators with some English nerds operating it 16 billion years ago. So no, they did not recreate anything. Furthermore, the BBT (Big Bang Theory) states that a tiny particle with infinite mass started spinning real fast then EXPLODED...not "smashed together with another particle at near light speed". They didn't do anything. It is the "big bang", not the big "Crash". The very laws and conditions necessary for an explosion to happen would have to already be in place: Namely the Law of Thermodynamics, there could be no bang if the laws in place to support a "bang" aren't there and those laws could not be created by the bang itself anymore than an chicken cannot lay the very egg that she herself hatches from. That is the pickle scientists find themselves in when removing God out of the equation. "Thinking themselves wise, they become fools..." (Romans 1:22)"
