The Holidays are a wonderful time to gather with loved ones and friends and share how great the Lord is in our lives! Maybe this isn't how you see the holidays though. Maybe you don't look forward to visiting your Mother-In-Law or your crazy Uncle. Do you have an office party that you must attend and you just can't stand to be with your husband's co-workers or boss?
Jess at “Making Home” has a great blog full of great advice on “Holidays with Difficult People/Relatives” and how to deal with and sail through the holidays if you must attend a less than desirable function with difficult people or family. I found it to be very helpful.
Malachi and I are spending the holidays at our home this year. We want to start our own family traditions with Sofia, and we also don't have the funds to travel all over the state of Louisiana to visit everyone. So to make it fair, anyone who desires to visit with us can come to us!

Hi Crystal! Nice to read your blogging again. I completely agree with the approach that Jess outlines in dealing with difficult family during the holidays. We are all getting ready for the holidays in many ways aren't we?
