Good Morning Ladies!
Praise the Lord for a new day! Mondays are always a good day for me because Malachi has Sundays AND Mondays off of work. Today we will be taking a trip to see my mother and my two younger sisters. They only live an hour away from us, so not much of a trip. My mom hasn't seen Sofia since Christmas, so it will be nice for her to get to visit with Sofia.
How are you all doing on the Challenge? It is amazing to see just how yucky my heart is when I am in the throws of the week! It is easy to get distracted and fall back into a bad routine of nagging my husband or not praying for him like I should. It is also hard to admit my faults, especially to the WHOLE WORLD! However, I find the more honest I am with myself and with those that read this blog, the less control the enemy has over me! I think that may be another reason we are told to confess our sins. The enemy can no longer hold them over our heads in attempt to make us go through life feeling guilty and ashamed. So if you want to stick it to the enemy...confess your sins!
Today is day 7 of the challenge! A whole week has passed since we began. I do pray that you all are being encouraged and pruned through the process of putting our husband's first. (After the Lord of course)

30 Day Husband Encouragement Challenge
Day 7
"Do not overwork to be rich; because of your own understanding, cease!
. . . for riches certainly make themselves wings . . ." Prov. 23:4-5
"That I may cause those who love me to inherit wealth, that I may fill their treasuries." Proverbs 8:21
Money is the root of much marital discord. Ask yourself, "Am I being negative toward my husband in the area of finances?" Determine not to speak evil of your husband in this area. Discover ways to encourage and help him instead.
Does your husband handle finances wisely? Does he make good financial investments, based on biblical principles? Does he have a budget? Does he make wise decisions about purchases—checking many sources before he buys? Is he a good steward of his money before the Lord? Let him know how much you appreciate his strengths in financial matters.
If he is weak in this area, encourage any good decisions that he does make. Perhaps you can help him, if he's open to the idea, by organizing financial files or providing other practical assistance. Or, if he wants you to handle the finances, ask for his input before you make decisions that will affect him.
31 Days of Praying For Your Husband
Day 7
Pray that your husband will safeguard his heart against inappropriate relationships with the opposite sex. Pray that his heart will be pure and undivided in his commitment to you. (Prov. 6:23-24, 26; Rom. 13:14)
Serving God and My Family,
